  1. she needs to file even if she does not owe. The AARP website has a good form to help her.

  2. Nope, she would have had to have filed an income tax return and earned at least 7k in income last year.  Sorry to break the bad news.

  3. If she didn't file a tax return, no she won't get one.

If she collects social security or railroad retirement, and got at least $3000 from that for 2007, then she can file a return and still get a stimulus check if she files by Oct 15.

  4. call the irs and they may have to fill one out not sure though.

  5. She is eligible if she had at least $3000 in Social Security income for 2007 but she has to file a return.

If she files now, she should get the rebate in a few weeks.

  6. If she collects SSI, she might be eligible.

Go to http://www.irs.gov and read what they have to say there about who's eligible for the rebate. She'll need to file a special tax return in order to get the rebate if she qualifies for it, even if she ordinarily doesn't have to file. It's all explained on the site.

  7. If she has a Social Security payment of $3,000 she may qualify.  She would need to file a tax return.  She would qualify for a minimum $300 payment.

  8. you had to file a tax return... so she will not get one because she did not make any money this year..
