  1. This sounds like it could be dementia; ask him to describe it to you when he says he sees these things, and take note of how he answers. You should ask a doctor if it begins to concern you.

  2. i think u have to take him to sycatrist, yah it happens in old age,its a very dangerous dieases, if it will increase may be it can be dangerousful to u, same thing happend to my grand father in old age, we take him to sycatrist wsithout any prior notice to him, he gave 6 months medicine, still medicines are continue and he is ok now

  3. get your grandpa to a psychiatrist. he is having visual halluciantions which is one sign of alzeimer's disease. i think there is no cure yet for the illness but at least you can alleviate some of the symptoms he has. do not negate what he is saying for what he is seeing is real for him,and do not laugh at him. treat him still like a normal individual so he wont feel he is ill. best regards

  4. at this age this can happn bcz of weakenin mental stamina...consult a physycatrist frst..bst of luck

  5. This seem like he is being asked by spirit to leave  this humanly body. But when there is appropriate time He will go. Please show your compassion and love to him.

  6. I don't think so because i hav also seen a person with the same problem and he is my neighbour.

He keep talking with somebody but there was no one at that time.

I have investigate ( ask about it frm some person) and come to conclusion that he is feeling alone and no body talks with him. This is not funny.I have also heared that due to his lonelineess he can see the persons which are not in real (ghosts or some other Thing). It is real and don't take it lite.

I can hear everything everything of my neighbour because his house is tooooo near from my house.

I think your grandpa have the same problem and may be he is feeling alone.

    That's what i think.

You should consult a psychatric for more information about this.

Please take  care of him and Don't neglect him and behave nicely with him .

Because if he will be happy then he will not think or he will not see those spirits.

    Best Of Luck!!!!

  7. Talk to him, listen carefully, does he say that he actually see those people, if he says he do, then it may be skizophrenia, you must contact a psychiatry doc, also you can yourself go to doctor and ask him about the problem, doc will advice you. One more thing I want to say is everyday make it  a routine, to sit with grandpa for about an hour, and listen to him, whatever he says, calm him down, this therapy is good for old people.

  8. Dementia

  9. sounds like schizophrenia! Get some meds.

  10. Visual hallucinations are quite rare, even in schizophrenia.  They most often occur during illness or drug induced psychosis.  In the elderly, something as simple as a urinary tract, skin, or lung infection can cause them to behave as is they have a mental illness.  It is increasingly common for people of your grandfathers age to begin experiencing symptoms of dementia, as ell.  The only way to know for sure what is going on is to take your grandpa to the Dr.  You also mention that he's not sleeping, and sleep deprivation can also cause people to behave abnormally.  Tell your grandpa you are taking him to the Dr. to have his sleep checked out, maybe that will make him more likely to go.
