Is my guppy ready for birth?

my guppy has been pregnant for about 2 weeks and it has been hanging around the bottom of the tank moving itss gills rapidly and its tail its gravid spot is big too, this has been going on for two days and no fry any advice???

yes it is ready for birth. But if it goes on for longer than 2 more weeks i would start asking fish stores and places like that for advice.

i doubt she has only been pregant 2 weeks as it sound like she is very close to birth now and pregancy is more like 3-4 weeks you want to look and see if you can make out individualy fry inside and depending on te darkness and size you can the measure for future referance if you want babie to survive but is some bushy plants for her to give birth in but all sound well and good luck

Yes it will begin soon. I have a few guppys and they are ready to give birth.
