Is my hamster going to be okay???

Question

i got two black bear hamsters.. they were both living in the same cage.. and they get along just find.. then one of them got diarrhea like three or so days after i got them from i think stress.. so i moved the one without diarrhea into a different cage so she wouldn't catch it.

and my mom went to get some dritail and the vet but they didn't have any.. all they had was some pill that we have to crush up into her food.. and ever since we put it into her food i dont think she has been eating anything.. and she is always sleeping (even at night) and always has her ears down. but her bottom seems to be doing better than is was before.. before it was all wet and now its just sticky (cause bedding would stick to it). i've been trying to give her toast but she wont eat any.. and today when i was cleaning out the cages i noticed that the one that isn't sick is like three times bigger than the one that is..

and they both seem to be really lonely.. and i cant play with them much because they wake up once i go to bed. (i have to go to bed early because of school).

is it alright if i but them both in the same cage again?

No way. Dsienfect both cages with a tiny amount of bleach with a huge bucket of water. You may want to crumble up the pill inside a broken sunflower seed shell, so it's stuffed with medicene. Hopefully your hamster will eat it. Put keep on putting it in her eegular food too. Move her dish and bottle right beside her nest, so she doesn't have have to move to get it.

I think it would be safer if you didn't. Also your mom needs to go to super pets or petsmart or something and get some dritail. You do not have to get it just at the vets office. Both animals need to start being treated and once the more sicker of the two starts becoming more active and eating THEN you can place them together again, but not before then or both will get sick. Since your mom only got the kind meds that you crush up, and your pet is weak and therefore can not eat it will more then likely die unless she goes and gets the kind with the dropper that you give the first dose straight to the pet and then add the rest to it's water.

Also you need to make sure you hamsters are not using cedar chips for bedding.
