Is my hamster normal?

okay i just got a fancy hamster yesterday with my cousin, she gave me a cage &everything since she has two hamsters but when he eats he kinda pops up like he has the hi-cups or like he's sneezing. is that normal? also he sleeps on his wheel, like literally on the wheel where he would normally run &i don't know if this is normal or not cause i haven't had a hamster in like 2years. [i had two dwarf hamsters prior to this one] and i just wanted to know is that normal cause im kinda starting to worry. any advice???

My robo dwarf does the hiccup/sneeze thing while she's eating too.  I have three others and she's the only one that does it, but I think it's normal.  Some hamsters just really like their wheel.  Do you have any hiding places for her to sleep?  Like one of those little castles or anything?  If you do, then I wouldn't worry about it.  Some just find strange places to sleep and prefer them over anything else.  One of mine likes to wedge herself between her castle and the wall of her bin cage and sleep like that.

i dont know about the hi-cup thing my sorta did that but she stopped after awhile so im sure its just nothing and sleeping on the wheel is normal cuz my hamster would get on the very top of the wheel not where she runs but the very top of the whole wheel... lol

my hamster did the same thing with the kinda hicup thing. she stopped after awhile though but im still not sure what it was. also make sure you hamster knows that the wheel is used to run. put the hamster in it and just lightly move the wheel. if he still uses it as a bed then maybe he doesnt like to run

my hamster hicups and falls asleep on his wheel sometimes. totally normal! have fun with your new hamster. :)
