my school doesnt do tempo runs!

does urs?

all we do is run like 4-9 miles , and speedwork

  2. my coach this year is saying that we have the same race pace for each run we do. I think we practice like yours and it is right. If you want more then you should maybe try doing your own tempo runs on off days.

  3. i take it your in highschool.  that sounds about right.  my training consists of speed work (on the track), distance (on the road). and upper body lifting (in the Gym).  sometimes i'll take out the speed work and put in a tempo run, but once a month or something.  as long as you do speed work, you should be fine.  also try to keep the milage up.  try to keep a minimum of 5 or 6 miles a day.

  4. You should sue the school.

    Seriously.

    I know it sounds stupid, but there was a guy at my school who did that and won the case, for that reason.

  5. That training sounds correct. I don't think we ever did tempo runs in xc season, we would just do long runs and short intervals and hill/stair workouts. My coach knew what he was doing and yours probably does too.
