Is my horse a pinto or a paint?

hes a tennessee walker. my sisther said he was a paint but then i looked it up and a paint is only for quarter horses or something, so i think hes a pinto its been bugging me forever. which is he?

  1. a pinto and paunt are the same things, im pretty sure if it is registered its a paint and if its a pinto it isnt


  2. pinto is the same thing as Paint.

    Just two different names for them so Paint=Pinto

  3. pintos and paints are the same type of horse and yours is nether yours is a Tennessee Walker but the way you are talking about is colors and markings. so paint and pinto would both be correct

    Your horse may be a Tennessee Walker but I believe they have quarter horse ancestry.

  5. Paint horses are a breed. They have their own registry the American Paint Horse Association. Pintos are horses that are not Paints, so the pinto can be just about any  breed. I agree with you that he is a pinto Tennesse Walker.

  6. He would be a Pinto because he is a Tennesee walker and not a Paint.  His coloration looks like Tobiano.
