During the 2007-2008 financial year I was resident in Australia and the house that I own in the UK was empty. Should I be eligible for a discount or exemption on my council tax?

  1. No it isn't. the first six months of non occupancy may be exempt if all furniture has been removed.

  2. If not a total exemption you should be eligible for a big discount/ reduction.
