he asked for a GI Joe Birthday cake even though he's 24... but I don't feel like I could make one. I do however have an awesome cupcake stand that holds 39 cupcakes... and I know how to do that swirly professional looking technique to frost the cupcakes. Do you think it will look really girly with the cup cakes and the tower, even if I only use green and chocolate (brown) frostine? The tower itself is very pretty and girly I have to admit... but can I get away with this?

Here's a pick of the tower. http://kidoinfo.com/ri/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/cupcake-tower.jpg

  1. Who cares what it looks like as long as it is good.

  2. Boy, that looks delicious.....

No, I think he'll be fine. He's lucky he's got someone to make him anything, especially something that looks that good! He's a guy. Food=good. I don't think he'll mind at all.

  3. I think it would be fine, especially in green and chocolate, maybe you could find GI Joe plates and napkins to tie it all together :)

  4. I'd write G.I. Joe on all of the cupcakes.  OR be even more creative and write names of the characters from G.I. Joe on the cupcakes.

I think it would be fine.  Plus, he can have as many cupcakes as he wants!  It's his birthday!

  5. Hey, if he's asking for a GI Joe birthday cake at age 24, I'm preeeetty sure he won't mind a cupcake tower either :P Especially if it's not the pink one in the picture, but a green/chocolate one ^^

  6. pick up a bag of those little army guy toy figurines from the dollar store and stick one on each green cupcake!

  7. How about camo cupcakes?  Just make your cupcakes and then pipe swirls of camo colors on top and put a GI Joe figure on the top cupcake- he'll love it.
