I have a 54 Mbps router 2.4ghz, and I have 54 Mbps 2.4ghz adapter, the connection is fine. I have internet at speed of 1.5 Mpbs (as they say) so the question is, is my connection to the internet slower than if I would be connected to the router through a wire?

- since my router speed is up to 54 Mpbs and my adapter is 54 Mbps and my Internet connection is only 1.5 Mbps, am I really losing any bits at all?
