i could feel her ribs so i try to feed her a lot of goat milk but i think the sucking-thing is too hard for her to suck on. also she had a bunch of fleas so we bathed her ,but she still has a couple left with a lot of flea eggs. she has discharge on one eye and sleeps a lot. i noticed she flinches and vibrates her legs and arms. is it because of the fleas?

  1. how old is she? Kittens cannot live on goats milk there are special replacement formulas available for kittens and puppies. Also you can get rubber kitten teats that are the right shape for her mouth. Babies can feel thin because they do not have a fat reserve yet and wont till they are about 6-8 weeks old. If you are having trouble contact your local vet or shelter they may have some supplies they can give you.

If you de-flea her use a KITTEN safe shampoo and make sure it doesnt get in her eyes, ears and mouth. If she has discharge she could have a mild conjunctivitis which the vet can help you with. When she sleeps she's probably dreaming, all kittens and puppies will twitch. If she is shaking she could be cold so make sure she has a very warm (never boiling hot) hot water bottle wrapped in a towel for her to snuggle with.

  2. you should give her kitten formula and a kitten friendly flea bath. If this doesn't work, you really should take her to the doctor.

  3. yea if it has fleas or if u think it does take it to a vet asap....cause they can kill a kitten..i would know i live on a farm we have farm cats anda few kittens had fleas they died in 1 week... she also could have a parasite...the vet could also cure that too...make sure u check her ears...they could have fleas in there too

  4. Quite possibly, yes.  Get those fleas on of her ASAP, they can literally kill your poor kitty.  I would recommend just bathing until you can take her to the vet. Be sure to get a recommendation on how to treat the flea problem and get her checked for any disease that fleas could be carrying.

    Hope she gets well soon.

    EDIT:

Goat milk mixed with filtered water is okay in a pinch.  You can (and should) get kitten formula.  It's available at most pet stores (and Wal-Mart, I think).

  5. i am not joking but put a little garlic in her food, the fleas, ticks, mites even ticks are deterent to the garlic as it will run through her blood system and if she wont eat it in her food get a medical dropper that looks like a syringe needle only plastic at the top and dissolve the garlic in waterabout 1.5ml or so  and about a less than  2.5ml of gravy and suck it up through the dropper and put it to the back of her throat and dispence easily,  (dont push it all in at once as she may spit it back up) try ounce by ounce and make her comfortable while taking it,the discharge on her eye,GET a cold wet tea bag every 4-6 hours and clean her eye with it,and disspose of the used one straight away.keep doing this for about 5-6-7 weeks every day but it should clear in a week! good luck with your kittyxx
