  1. You might be feeding her to much, she could just be cold or lazy.

  2. If it's a sudden increase in weight like you say then it's very likey that she's gravid.

Take her to a well lit room and look at her stomach, you should be able to see the eggs through the skin.

If she is gravid she will go off her food soon due to the increasingly growing eggs compressing her organs, making it uncomfortable for her to eat. Before she does go off her food, feed her plenty of calcium as the eggs will be a major drain on her calcium reserves.

When she's ready to lay she should display some digging behaviours, searching for an apropriate spot to lay them. There should already be a humid hide in your tank but if there isn't, place one in there.

Once she has laid them you will notice a dramitic reduction in her weight, feed her up as much as you can, wax worms will be good at getting her weight up and so will pinky mice. She will be very hungry and very eager to eat, once again making sure she's getting he vitamins and calcium.

If she does not have a mate the eggs will be infertile and can simply be thrown away, if you have a male with her take the eggs out for incubation without turning them so not to drowned the faetus.

Good luck with your gecko! :)

  3. not a clue? did you put a male gecko in?
