The other day I was lifting a 250 lb man on a gurney out of an ambulance when the gurney and the man fell and landed on my left thigh. That thigh is bruised however it is not the one givng me problems. My right thigh is the one that took the impact of the weight. I'm not sure if it's possible to 'Jam" a big bone. I fell onto my bottom so hard I actually bounced. It was literally like a ton of bricks landed on me. I'm curious to know if the pain I am feeling in my thigh is a broken femur. It's not swollen, it's not tender to the touch, but there is a deep, sharp, stabbing pain when I put all my weight onto that leg. I am 5'2" and 110 lbs if that matters. My Dad thinks I might have a hairline fracture of my femur. I don't have great medical insurance and am curious to know if anyone has an opinion on this. The man who fell on me in a fellow medic...I was lifting him out of the ambulance for practice. (guess I need to practice more...ha ah)
