  1. The no headlights probably wasn't a "moving violation" so it shouldn't go against your driving record.

In Ohio, if you get two tickets of any sort before the age of 18, you lose your license for 3 months.

I lost my license at 17 and it sucked but I've had a perfect record ever since. It's expensive and inconvenient but that's for a reason.

And since you're a juvenile, it'll clear off your record when you turn 18. Don't sweat it.

  2. Maybe. You're not on the fast track to lower insurance at least.

  3. No.  Basically, you get a number of points on your license at one time it is suspended.

    For example:

Here, speeding is 2 points (unless it is far more than 14 mph over)

You do not get suspended until you have 12 points at one time (or specific types of tickets like wreckless driving or dui)

For each ticket, one point falls off per year.

So if you got 5 speeding tickets per year, it would take 2-3 years for suspension on those tickets alone (depending on time of year.

Most states have some similar program.

A little confusing, but it takes quite a bit of bad driving (infractions) to get suspended.

NOW...SLOW DOWN!  Your insurance rates will kill you.
