  2. No, The Bahamas is not part of the U.S.  Even if you have insurance you have to pay the bill emergency or not and then file a claim when you get home.

  4. Medicare does not cover anything out of the country. Some Medicare Supplements will cover foreign travel emergencies after a deductible but you'll have co-insurance. All Medicare Advantage plans will cover urgent care and emergencies world wide.

  5. Nope - going there next week and my husband is a dialysis patient they won't take any american insurance.  have to pay cash ::-( unless of course it is an emergency I think then it's a different story.
