Question:

Is my mind too paranoid?

I went on a date with somebody I met online. I got bad vibes. I know this is gonna sound weird, but, because her and I both divulged to each other that each of us had a mental inless, and the inless was the same as the other's, from that point on the date spiraled downard, and as she was talking, I could literally feel her spirt come out of her body and into mine. For the next 2 or 3 days I was working hard to dissolve her spirit out of my body. Does that make sense? Surley many of you can relate to this. Added to that I was afraid of her because she kept staring at me the whole time at the restaurant, and she didn't start any conversations, only contributed to mine. which is a bad sign. I don't like her and I think she is stalking me. Do I have a valid concern? or am I just paranoid?

  1. I don't understand you.

  2. These thoughts appear to me to be mostly related to your illness. Going on a first date is a nerve wracking experience for anyone and whether having mental illness or not can make most of us feel self conscious, on show, embarrassed and perhaps a tad paranoid. Maybe she was vey shy? Maybe she had all sorts going on in her mind just like you? Imagine her feeling the way you are about you? If you ever did become close at least you'd be able to tell one another as you must have the odd simillarities now and again and so understand why one can think like that. Maybe she just aint your cuppa tea though? Don't worry about it. Most of us have had a dating disaster - or a few!

  3. Not paranoid, but sensibly recognizing that many times the "blind can't lead the blind".  You each have a situation that could trigger the other negatively and therefore probably are not a good match.

    Good Luck
