easy read i promise... my mom got a call from her cousin's daughter today. i call the daughter my cousin and her name is robin. she was pissed with my mom. here is the story. my cousin said casually in a convo with my my mom and others that she was planning a party for her mother. she did not say it was a surprise party. now i understand how this sounds as though it were a surprise, but then my aunt says to my mom another day that she was planning or having something planned for her birthday. so my mom says, "oh is that was robin was talking about?" now how the f--- is my mom supposed to know it was a surprise? sure the smart thing would be to keep quiet about what robin said, but honestly without thinking wouldnt you have assumed the same thing or are we wrong? my cousin is 31 years old and i love her but you think she would know better. thanks in advance.

  1. I'm with you  on this one.  If your cousin didn't provide all of the relevant information, there was no way your mother could have know to keep this a secret.  Your cousin needs to grow up and recognize the she made a mistake.

  2. If one want something to be kept quiet they need to let whomever they are talking to know that.  The cousin shouldnt be mad .  She should just say it was suppose to be a surprise and I forgot to tell that part of it.  So surprise her with some kind of special gift instead.  Be creative.
