Question:

Is my motherboard broken?

My computer's power supply recently fried. Literally, a component of the power supply burned out and the fuse is still intact. I replaced my power supply with a high wattage one and now my computer won't show anything on the monitor. The cpu fan runs and other components run as well. I can hear the DVDRW running and making the same noises every 5 seconds like its restarting. The ethernet light on the back of the computer doesn't light up either and the router shows no connection. Is my motherboard fried or is my gpu broken? I really hope that my gpu isn't fried as well.

  1. It could had been that the P.S you bought was to extreme for your board to handle. Check to see if your monitor glows. If it does make sure its plug in correctly. Check for the VGA or DVI ports to be in well. If that doesn't work, your P.S. may had fried your VGA port.
