  1. OS are dependent on CPU,memory etc not motherboard,and beauty of Linux is its requires very less resources.So i think u can easily install ubuntuon ur system.

    Ubuntu System Requirements

    Ubuntu is available for PC, 64-Bit PC and Intel based Mac architectures. At least 256 MB of RAM is required to run the alternate install CD (384MB of RAM is required to use the live CD based installer). Install requires at least 4 GB of disk space.


  2. Indeed it is, as Ubuntu is compatible with nearly all AMD and Intel chip sets. Generally If it will run Windows XP, it will run Ubuntu.  

  3. Yes. ASUS usually has very good support for Linux on their motherboards, and I do not see any components on the board that should give you any problems.
