my mom didn't get my name from garbage can signs.

she got the name Deja from a movie Tyra Banks played in [her role was Deja btw]

and Alizee from the talented French singer:http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=ALIZEE PICTURES&src=IE-SearchBox

  5. Deja is French, but you wouldn't find little Deja's running around in France. Simply because it's not considered a name in France, it's just an expression. It'd be like naming your child Touché or Voilà. Alizee isn't too bad, but it's still not the greatest.

    Overall, I'd say you have an American's attempt at a French name. I don't think it's ghetto, but I do think it could be better.

  7. Nope, I think it is creative.  Pluse you can have a cute nickname like Deja Ali if Alizee is too long.  I bet you are the only one you know with that name too which is an added bonus!

  9. Yeah, the sounds of Deja Alizee are a little "ghetto" - but if you aren't "ghetto", then people won't associate your name with "ghetto".

    Ultimately, it's what it IS that matters, not what it's CALLED.

  12. I think its very nice, but not something I would pick for my own child.  What does it matter what a bunch of strangers think though?  Its your name and you are obviously proud of it (which you should be), so don't let anyone else's opinion bother you.
