Is my new bob haircut really haram?

I was informed by someone I know that has a lot of knowledge that my bob haircut(think Posh Spice) is haram because its fairly short...can anyone enlighten me on this?

women are allowed to style their hair anyway they want.. as long as you wear a scarf while out in the islamic manner..

As long as your not trying to look like a man (how many of them wear bobs?!), and wearing hijab of course, you're fine.

As long as you are not cutting like a man.  A bob is not like a mans cut.  If a man has a bob he is actually wearing his hair like a woman.

Now let me tell you there is people of a certain school of thought that believe it is forbidden for a woman to cut her hair other than a trim.  

Sister wolf, your explanation is vague and not accurate my dear.  Besides going some wacked out color or one side short/one long (which is specifically forbidden by hadith) there is not a "kafr cut" or a "Muslim cut".

men cant dress act or behave liek women and women cant act dress or behave liek men.

that includes cutting hair like a man. so a bob is like what men have it as. just let it grow out and dont do it again. long hair looks better on women.

women with short hair do look more like men. sorry. posh spice... is she even human???? lol
