Question:

Is my nose piercing infection going away?

I have my nose pierced and when i put a hoop in it (i gauged it), it got infected. after about a week, i went to the doctor. i had a bump beside the piercing and it was almost constantly draining green, yellow, and white fluids. When i went to the doctor, she told me to take it out right when she walked in. i LOVE my nose piercing, so of course i refused. then she said she would give me an antibiotic and if it didn't get better in 3 days to at least put a stud back in it. ive been taking the medicine everyday and now it doesn't have any fluids coming out of it and the bump seems to have gone down some. its been three days, so should i give it a couple of more days since it stopped draining? or should i just take it out?

  1. snvffy must be the "genius" here....

You *never* take out an infected piercing. If you do, the hole for the piercing is going to close and it can trap the infection inside your body and it can then spread inside your body. Keep the jewelry in and make sure it's good quality jewelry.

  2. Give it a few more days - you never want to take out an infected piercing.  Also, make sure the ring is of a good quality metal (such as titanium).

  3. You must be a genius, but since you asked my opinion, NO, just let it stay there until gangrene sets in on top of the infection, and your face starts to rot off......

    HOw old are you???
