Put it this way.. I didn't get up to the first chapter. I read the synopsis and decided I didn't want to.

It's just such an overdone topic.... and really doesn't seem in any way different or interesting to everything already out there.

I'm not going to say this idea has been over done because lets face it most ideas have been used but I have to say when people use the words "scene kid" and "emo" it makes me cringe. It screams out stereotype trying to be unique. However I'm not knocking your writing style I think you're very good it's just the plot may be a bit week and is playing to a certain audience. I think you could write a really good novel but perhaps you'd need a better idea.
