okay i bought this phone off ebay, and it checked out this seller was legite and he had really really good feedback. its a cingular unlocked palm treo 650 that i am using with t mobile.

the first night i got it i left the phone on meaning i have signal. when i woke up i was able to use jus pressed the power button to turn on. the second night i left it the same but when i woke up it wouldnt turn on. i pressed every key and still nothing. the green light was still blinking on my phone when you have signal. so i removed the battery and put it back that was the only way i was able to get it to turn back on. is this normal on a treo? or is it damged or defected? i have 11 days left to return it to the seller for a refund or replacement. thanks guys i really need this.

  1. On your treo, press the phone to turn on and go to the phone dialpad, press the menu button then, it's the right one under the screen, go to phone info, you'll see some information there,

you said it's a cingular so you should see either of these on the line Software

    - Treo650-1.17-CNB

    - Treo650-1.17-CNG

    - Treo650-1.17-CNA

If you don't have 1.17, then go here:

    http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads...

download the one that coincides with your version.

You mentioned that you could only turn it on by removing the battery and replacing it. Have you tried the reset switch ?

it's under the back cover, you can poke it with the stylus.

Also have you installed any software on it... some software does cause the treo to reset.

Aside from that, I'm not sure how familiar you are with treo flashing but let me know, I'm very familiar with this...
