During the "normal" days of my period (I don't have really heavy days), I have to use super plus tampons for a maximum of 2.5-3 hours... is this normal? Are there any larger tampons?!?

  1. If it is always regular and always same - it is normal for you. But better read about very heavy menstrual flow below.

  2. Heavy periods, with or without pain are a symptom of fibroids. You should see a Dr. regarding this, so you can get an exact diagnosis.

  3. Yes it sounds normal though that depends on what is normal for you.  I would echo what blahblah says - don't use tmapons that are too absorbent.  Overuse of tampons can damage the delicate lining of the v****a and cervix which can make conceiving difficult.

  4. Yes, if that is normal for you then that is normal.

I do not believe that they have any higher absorbency do to the increased risk of TSS (toxic shock syndrome) as the grams of absorbency goes up.

Make sure you continue to change them regularly to minimize the risk of TSS and only use the smallest absorbency necessary to do the job.

    Hope this helps.
