  1. you need to take her to a vet that sees rats, now!

  2. There are a couple things it could be.

Rats with kidney diseases will drink water and urinate more.  They'll lose weight and become lethargic.

Does the tan stuff dry red?

Rats can hiccup.  Often, people mistake this for seizures.  However, if it subsides, there should not be a problem.  As rats cannot burp or pass gas, this can happen often.

  3. why don't you ask her, take her out to dinner and go to a movie?

  4. You need to take her to the vet.  Any changes in behaviour are a  concern in a small animal like a rat.  Also, the nasal discharge and twitching are concerning.  It's always a smart plan to see a vet if you are concerned over a rat, they get so sick so quickly.

Even if she isn't sick it's a good idea to have a bit of a check up.  She is getting older, but she's by no means ancient!  My last boys were 2.5 years old.

    Good luck.

  5. it sounds like it might be kidney failure or something,I read about it in one of my books, you should take it to the vet....

  6. Oohhh.... doesn't sound good.

Maybe you can bring it to your local vet and they can help. She may have a tumor.

Tips: Feed brocoli, collie flower, or russle sprouts in small amounts. It is very good for them, and helps block tumors.

  7. It sounds like kidney failure. That's what happened to my cat Cody. Take your rat to the vet immediately, before it's too late! They might be able to help it, unless this has been going on for a while.
