  1. she's scared sh*tless & you're allergic.

  2. She is just calm. If she was terrified, she would be showing aggression by raising her front legs in the air to show off her fangs. When they do this, leave them alone. But yours sounds very docile. As far as the itching, that's normal. I have a rose hair I've had for 7 years now. Here's a great place to learn about tarantulas: http://www.arachnoboards.com

  3. You get itchy because the feet have hooks on them that irritate the skin. Many people hold their rosies but it is best not to as this stresses them out since they wouldn't be held in the wild. it is best to admire your pet in the cage.

  4. when she puts her butt in the air she is preparing to flick hairs at you, when she is still but moving her legs she is still flicking hairs but you just don't see them they are really fine, you are getting a reaction to the hairs on the tarantula which is why you are itching after you have touched her, rose haired tarantulas are a fairly mild mannered spider, but she is still nervous of you and really they don't always like to be handled, it may be better to limit the handling of her for a while, but it does sound like you could be getting a reaction to her

  5. i  have a rosehair she gets a little excited when i touch her but calms down. unless yours is a juvenile, a male will have hooks on the two front legs. usually the abdomen is much smaller in the males. the male will be more strikingly colored.
