Is my sister acting her age?

my dad told my younger siblings that we have to clean today because I was still sleeping at 7:30 like a normal teenager. well my sister comes in freaking out turns on the light and starts poking and yelling at me to get up, I pushed her away. then she started the "but Alex we have to clean" then she listed everything that she has to do (which was in grand totoal was to make her bed), I told her that if she stuck with it and stopped wining that she could do it in less than 30 minuates. then she started "but I need help" (aka do it for me), then I told her to go away. I rolled over and slept til 9:15. then I get up to screaming and yelling between my brother and sister. my brother was working on the living room while my sister couoperated for like 10 minuates. then she siad she was "tire" (aka bored) and went to my mom's room and started to practice her hand stands(wtf?). then I made her stand up which refused to do then I picked her up and put back to the bed. I looked straight in the eyes and told her that she was acting inmature and that she needed to grow up, and that she was not going to get to go to six flags. then after she still wasn't listening I told flat out "Danielle you, are not acting like your age and everyone relizes it, ever A**** (my best friend who she's always though that was her friend) thinks your acting like your 6." then she stopped wiggling. and started to cry.

I'm not sorry for what I said. how old do you think she really is? she's 10 almost 11. she needed to here that, because my coached guessed that she was 4 last year so I guess that she's not that far off. I hope I wasn't too harse but I'm sick of her constint wining and clinging, and the "I'm tireds" she won't help clean are room at all.

she has loads of friends her own age. I don't really unterstand I know its not fun to clean, but I was cleaning my room (including making the bed which is now her bed) and I started cleaning the whole house by myself at age 12. Okay maybe I was a little more mature than the adverage... but come on! if I'm helping her clean can't she help and do some of the basics like picking up little petshops?

Yes. And you're all acting like siblings too.  Who are apparently left alone during the day and maybe getting sick of each other.

Well how old are you? Were you supposed to be babysitting? You act like you have authority around the house and I'm just wondering if you were supposed to. Anyways about your sister. She's a kid. You even said that you were 12 when you started cleaning which is two long years off of her. I am also interested in knowing why everyone else had to get up other than you...Why do you get the privilege of sleeping in late while others work hard on the house? About the whole process of cleaning, she should help with her toys but you will need to help her too. You said she had to make her bed. Maybe you should have done it while explaining it all and let her do it next time. Remember that she's just a kid and wants to have fun. You had absolutely no right to tell her she was being immature. Well in fact, she was being immature but that's the correct way for a 10-year-old to act. She's not a robot she's a human. Let her act that way!

I was the same way when I was 10.  I have a cousin that nine months older than me so we were both 10 for like 3 months yet when we were around that age he acted like he was 9 years older than me when it came to pitching in in helping clean because I just wanted to play when we had to do work.  I don't how your mom raises your sibilings but mainly this habit that I had was because my mom didn't really give me chores.  I was only resposible for making my bed and picking up my toys and clothes.  As an adult I still catch myself slacking it when everbody is working and then I start to help too.  I am bearly learning how to do laundry and how to cook to help my mom out now that she is babysitting my niece.  Your sister is acting normal becuase that how 10 year olds act and sometimes it is annoying but I recomend you apologize to her.

Your the one nt acting your age i mean come on  she is only 10 what do you wanna do break her heart by saying she acts like shes 6 thats what my sister does and let me tell you uit doesnt feel very good!!
