Question:

Is my tattoo healing normal? It looks bad...?

I got my tattoo a week ago, and it's not looking good. It's on my ankle. It doesn't really hurt and it doesn't itch. But it's peeling bad and scabby and it looks wrinkley and like it's fading. I have been using tattoo moisturizer made by H2Ocean, that's what the tattoo artist gave me. But it just doesn't look right, it looks gross. Is it ok? Is there anything I can do?

Thank you.

  1. Well it is suppose to scab and peel, but you  never peel it off yourself. It will eventually all peel. But your only suppose to use a tiny drop of that cream!  maybe once  a day, if you use a lot it will fade fast!

    Just let it be!

and in a week or two you will see the final result,  then consult with the artist if you dont like.

  2. Don't worry it'll be fine it takes some weeks to heal, I have 13 tattoos, and that's what it looks like when you first get them, the best thing to use is I hope i spell this right "bactrate onitment

  3. If you have any doubts then contact the artist that did your tattoo, peeling is definitely part of the healing process and it sound like youre in the final stage if it doesnt itch or feel like a sunburn anymore. However my tattoos never gave the appearance of looking wrinkled or scabby I would ask the artist and see what they think.

  4. Im not sure what H2Ocean is, but you may need to get a tube of A&D Ointment. It will scab and peel once its in the healing stages....just give it sometime to heal up.

  5. The tattoo is at the end of the healing process and all that is normal, it might even look like some of the color is coming out but all normal.
