Is my thumb nail going to fall off?

I smashed my thumb in a car door a few weeks ago and it seems to be healing, the bruise is lightening but it feels like it's going to fall off and i can stick a pointy nail file under the nail above my cuticle. If that makes sense hahah.

haha :) it probably won't fall off if you dont pick on it. give it some more time to heal and it will be all better :)

It probably could fall off if you tried to make it, but if its still on there after a few weeks you'll probably be ok. More likely than not when you go to cut your nails in a few more weeks you'll take off a big chunk where the healing started and the "dead" nail is not well attached.
