I've just started sprint training/training for track. i am going to run track this year, and currently practice/train roughly 3 or 4 hours a day. this all began after messing aroung with my dad and sprinting a 100m dash in 10.95 with basketball shoes and standing up right. is that good for a 16, almost 17 year old? and is london possible?

  1. That is good for the conditions you ran it in, London is definitely possible, you just have to stay focused, keep working hard and eating right (all that good stuff). I'm actually trying to go to London to in the mile or 5k, most of the sprinters at my races around your age usually run high 10's or low 11's for the hundred so just keep it up, maybe I'll see ya there.

  2. Yes this is good but you gotta remember that there are other kids your age who are already running faster times than that.

At the end of the day it comes down to who wants it more.  If you really want to get good at the 100m then you gotta dedicate yourself 110% to get better.

Im also assuming your wanting to do the London Games in 2012?  Well you need to get your time down to 10.28 to stand a chance of getting on the team.

If you can't do that then you might as well forget the London games.
