So three years ago me and my friend buired a glad plastic box with items in it underground. We put tape all around it just incase. Is all the stuff inside going to be ok when we dig it back up?

  1. To bad people cant read your question, your glad plastic BOX not bag should be well protected would have been better to seal the BOX with silicone to get a better seal but I think the tape should do a good job.I think that was a cool thing, I made a millennium box with my boys 8 years ago but just hide/placed in my old wooden desk

  2. I'm going to say that the time capsule is probably not holding up too well.  Your bag will probably develop rips and tear over time as as burrowing animals and insects, as will as plant roots, will put holes in the bag.  I think you should dig up the time capsule and rebury it in something more sturdy

  3. It really depends on what you put inside, what type of soil you buried it in, and how tight the bag was closed. Plastic can take hundreds of years to decompose, so if you buried the bag in a safe place with no moisture, it should be fine.
