Is my toy poodle(10 months old) upset with the family for leaving every day to go to school and work? why mad?

She was eating in the morning befoe the kids went back to school, it is as if she thinks that if she doen't eat they want leave home. we end up leaving for the day and she doesn't get any breakfast. When the kids get home she will then eat. Could this be a problem?

It could be the break in the routine. She is only 10 months so cannot remember a time when the kids were not at home.

The best thing to do is not panic and simply treat it as normal. After a while the dog will get used to it and will get into a new routine.

I have a small 8 month old yorkie and she does me the same way.  She has never eaten her food when I am not at home.  She only eats when I am home with her.  I do not think it is a problem.  I have heard of many other dogs who do this as well.
