I have a 97 eagle vision with 158000 miles. I was driving it today and it kicked a little so i slowed down when i went to speed back up the car would rev up but wouldnt go faster . It goes into drive and reverse just fine and i can still drive it just not over like 30. Could it be blown or what? and can i damage it anymore by driving it?

  1. Oh wow, that sucks, sorry to hear it. Yes, it sounds likes the trans is giving out. =/ And yes, continuing to drive it (until you can get it checked out) will very likely cause even more damage. I'd definitely get it to a shop as soon as you are able. Good luck to you.

  2. sounds like its blown to me

  3. It sounds like your torque converter or clutch packs. It will need replacing. Which means transmission out and fixed. It could do more damage. See a mechanic is your best option.

  4. It is more than likely the governor in the transmission that went out.
