Is my tv digital, how do i find out?

i think it is because its hd1080p, but im not sure. its a mitsubishi wd-55315

  1. Your HDTV only goes up tp 1080i and yes your TV is a HDTV.


  2. The Mitsubishi wd-55315 is a "HD ready" TV with a 1080i native resolution.

    What that means is that it does not have a digital tuner built into it. To see a HD quality picture on it, you have to connect it to a HD video source with component cables or a HDMI cable (with a DVI adapter).

    HD sources are things like HD cable boxes, HD tuners, HD video games, and Blu-Ray players

    The TV does have a NTSC (analog) tuner built into it, so if have been using it you have been watching plain old analog TV upscaled to 55" 1080i (how fuzzy is it?)
