Is my understanding of the EU's Single Market correct ?

There are no tariffs on goods that enter an EU country FROM another EU country. No customs restrictions, amount restrictions etc.

But when goods enter ANY EU country FROM a NON-EU country, there will be the same tariff AND same Customs regulations on that particular good no matter what EU country the good enters.

Are all of these statements valid ???

  1. The EU is free trading organisation with an internal market, and yes you are right other countries are treat differently, but they are ourside of the agreement and indeed Europe.

There is currently an EU Wide ban on American Beef due to the use of growth hormones and there was the famous banana war which the EU recently lost.
