Is my vision REALLY terrible?

All my freinds think its funny but my vision is over 400/20

(what normal people see at 400 feet i have to go up to 20 feet to see it)

I am longsighted, I have a astigmatism & my prescription is +5.50

That would be 20/400...not the other way around.

The important thing is how well you are seeing when you have glasses or contacts on...you are probably close to normal 20/20 with them on.

20/400 must be UNcorrected visual acuity so it really doesn't make any difference as long as it can be corrected.

It's quite bad. I have one eye that's 20/300 and that's bad enough.  Someone here said 20/200 (best corrected vision) is considered legally blind. As long as you can correct to 20/20 then your vision is okay.
