Is my washing machine about to die?

It is making some very odd grinding noises during the wash. It sounds a bit like there is a small elephant trapped inside. It still works, but I think something is about to go very wrong. Anyone any ideas?

Real bad creaking noises?  Like a car, your washer has a transmission.  It is probably on its way out.  If so it will be cheaper to buy a new machine.

It does sound like bad news, But on the brighter side, you may catch the elephant!  They do like peanuts you know!

check the lint hose, it might be a hole in it or clogged, that could cause it to jump around like somthing in it, you might need to replace it womens panty hose work great!!
