Question:

Is my wisdom tooth extraction healing properly?

I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted 20 days ago. The healing process has been slow for my bottom extraction sites. I rinse with the syringe the dentist gave me after I eat. Today I was rinsing with the syringe like normal-maybe used a bit more of force. I saw some white matter thinking it was some left over food but after it came out the extraction site started to bleed a little. Sometimes it's hard to tell if it is food stuck in the extraction site or not. Does this sound normal since it's been 20 days?

  1. My sister recently had her Wisdom Teeth Removed. She healed in about 16 days but it's different for everybody. You should be fine. If you are really worried about it I recomend calling your Dentist.

  2. I had four of my wisdom teeth extracted 8 days ago and when I flush the holes with the syringe, I always get blood coming out of one of them. A little blood is probably fine. I don't know if it's normal since it's already been 20 days with you. You might want to call your surgeon and check.
