  1. dont buy any intercooler fans or any other unneccesary gadgets.

a fan that will help is a small regular fan (not attached to the xbox) blowing at a gentle speed towards the xbox.

  2. no i believe it is fine. if you have an older xbox make sure you put like a 2 book or a couple DVD's underneath it so it get's cool. i use a box fan on my new elite and it never gets hot. plus do not buy those intercooler fans you see at gamestop. they are well known to cause of xbox to red ring.

  3. what do you mean by STUTTERS? is it freezing while on?

if it is then its most likely overheating. did you register it when you bought

it? if you did register it, or you have a receipt even if you dont; call

1-800-4myxbox.   1800-469-9269 they will send you a new one

free of charge . however you will have to mail your old one back. but they will pay for all shipping and give you thirty days of xboxlive for FREE!

  4. do you have the air holes plugged up? because if they are that is the reason. your xbox 360 is fine it stutters like that when the air holes are being blocked the only thing that you need to do is power it off for a while so that it can cool off. it stutters when it is struggling to read the disc because it is overheating BUT DO NO USE AN INTERCOOLER. just power it off for a few hours and your fine.

  5. ok there are a few steps to getting your xbox cool, first DO NOT get an intercooler or any kind of cooler, they just use more power to run the cooler and heat up your xbox even more.

Step 1: the big brick (power source) make sure its off the ground, like what i do is get a shoe lace or something like that and make it hang so its not touching anything because that is mainly what is causing it to heat up.

Step 2: Make sure your xbox is laying horizontally, not vertically, because if its vertical, all the holes in the bottom where most of the hot air shoots out is covered up so it causes it to heat up even more.

Step 3: While your xbox is laying horizontally, Put a couple books under it so its far off the ground so the holes on the bottom arent covered up.

Step 4: Make sure all the cords in the back arent tangled up, they need space apart or they will attract heat.

    Hope this helps =)

  6. one of those intercooler fans

  7. i would get the intercooler

  8. Yea, I would follow one of jakes suggestions.

*and second the notion to NOT buy an intercooler

    (step 1)

Just like the Xbox itself, the power brick has vents too, if they are clogged with dirt, or it is on carpet. It will generate heat.

    (step 3)

I use 3 empty DVD cases to hold up my 360 while it is vertical, it stay incredibly cool and does not have any problems. (Barely warm after hours and hours of use)
