  1. yes!

try lowering the food and do more exercise for a healthy yorkie, and for it to live longer

  2. A little my friends Yorkie is like plump and its 11 pounds do u have a picture of it?

  3. The standard for showing is 7lbs!!

Very difficult to try and keep to that,I think as they naturally want to eat!

As in any animal there are large and small varieties.

I have seen huge Yorkies and tiny ones.

Personally I think if you can feel its ribs OK and it hasn't got a pot belly and can walk OK and gets plenty of exercise,it is fine.

You could try cutting down on the biscuit meal and giving vegetables and bran mixed in its dinner instead

  4. yes their supposed to be no more than seven pounds look

    look under - weight

  5. Your average Yorkie wieghs 7 lbs. That said there are larger Yorkies and I have seen poorly bred pet store puppies run up to 20lbs.

With out seeing the dog it is impossible for me to tell. But here is a quick way to check. Stand above your dog and look down at her, you should see a clearly defined waist (tuck at the abdomin) Next reach down and feel for her ribs  you should be able to feel them when you apply very little pressure. If not then you have a chunkey Yorkie and should discuss dietary options with your vet
