She looks even bigger than normal, she keeps going to the bottom and hiding and the males keep following her everywhere she goes

Are they signs that she is about to lay eggs?

  1. it is possible, if the males seem to be irritating the female it would be a good idea to put her into a separate fish tank (if you don't have another fish tank just put her in a vase or bowl, but make sure its big enough). also the males may eat the eggs so make sure you feed the fish well so they have less chance of eating their own baby's.

    i hope i helped :)

  2. it's possible you may want to isolate her because other fish will tend to eat the eggs. Put her in a tank by herself and see, some fish will even eat their own babies. But anyway, put her in another tank and keep an eye on her for a while. You never know...

  3. sure why not.
