  1. I think myspace is safer.  Just because when you have a facebook its your first, and last name.  You can also put your number, address and other info in it.  I like both though.  I think they can both be just as dangerous, you just have to be careful who you give your information to.  Just like any other website out there.

  2. Rupert Murdoch owns myspace so i wouldnt trust it. Facebook is def safer as the rumor has it.

  3. facebook is way better..

  4. myspace is 1,000,000 times better and safer

  5. nothing is safe!!!!

  6. Both are safe but yeah MS is a lil more...I prefer Myspace.......

  7. Facebook sucks so many applications which equal many more ways to mess up your computer!  so go with  myspace it's safer.

  8. Each site is only as safe as the user makes it.  If a person puts too personal of information on either site, the safety level goes down.  Facebook tends to be easier to keep safe.  To join a school's network you need to verify it through your school e-mail, which means far fewer people pretending to be others.  The real-name feature makes it easier for users to be sure they know the person before they befriend him.  Plus, you can control who sees which details about you, versus the MySpace security is either they see all or nothing.

  9. Facebook is way safer than myspace.

    Go with facebook.

    for your safety,

  10. I think facebook is safer than myspace.

I don't know if it works the same way on myspace, but on facebook, you can adjust the settings so you can control which networks can see your name when they search. You can also hide the "Add to friends", "Message", and/or "View Friends" links.

  11. no they are really the same

  12. Yes, It Has Protection and More Security, and Face book Does Not.

  13. No, its the other way around.

Myspace is infested with two things.... 13 year old girls and 40 year old men trying to pick them up. Throw in a bunch of p**n stars, a few musicians and a handful of us (the general public) and you have myspace.

Facebook was initially geared toward college students, but has since expanded to high school as well.

What makes facebook so "safe" is that, unlike myspace, regardless of your profile settings, you need to either directly message somebody or add them as a friend for them to view any pictures other than your default picture, your school, and hometown. Like myspace, you can limit who can see your profile. But unlike myspace, facebook gives you the option to control who has access to what. For example, I can set my profile so that all users in my Rutgers network can see the pictures I put up, however only select people can see the ones I get tagged in etc etc. Also, only my closest friends can see my videos. All of my "friends" can see my email. One of my photo albums is only visible to my family members and closest of friends. My "wall" is visible to all of my friends with a few exceptions. There is just a lot more flexibility as far as controlling who can see what, and being safe, without sacrificing things.

But ultimately, it all comes down to your common sense (lets not post addresses, home phones, specifics of employment blah blah) and how much time and effort you want to put fourth in setting up your privacy settings, because your profiles are very open as a default.

Facebook is a nicer set up that allows people to stay in contact and keep up with each others lives easily, without provisions for people to put up obnoxious flashy back grounds and stupid things like that.

  14. There is no diffrence

  15. facebook

  16. as far as making sure that only ur real friends are ur friends on the site and that only ur real friends can see the material u want them to see and that u can select certain of ur not so close friends to be on limited profile, facebook kicks myspaces ***. facebook does a good job at letting the user micromanage their privacy settings and they listen to the us a lot more. myspace is full of "myspace friends" who you dont even know who can see your private info, jam ur wall full of glittery html hearts, self-promote on your page. the typical facebook wall comment says, "we had a great time last night. we should do it again sometime," whereas the average myspace wall comment says, "go to goblowyourself.com to see more of my pics. go to goblowyourself.com to see more of my pics. go to goblowyourself.com to see more of my pics.go to goblowyourself.com to see more of my pics. go to goblowyourself.com to see more of my pics. go to goblowyourself.com to see more of my pics."

    get it?

as far as hacking into your account goes, as long as theres a comp nerd willing to write a great php program like facebook or any other, there's another comp nerd willing to F|_|CK it up. so in that respect, neither is safe. but facebook whoops myspace's *** in privacy settings

  17. I think facebook is safer, because you can not do as much on face then what your able to do on myspace.

  18. no its the other way around

  19. no

  20. both are unsafe
