I heard about this mystery shopper thing jus wonderin if its a scam?

Companies do hire people to do mystery shopping for them; however, I would be careful and not answer just any ad that came along.  Mystery shoppers look for things like how the customers are treated, how efficient the employees are, and other things as well.
