Is nail polish cruelty-free?

According to caringconsumer.com, Almay does not test nail polish on animals.  I'm not sure about the ingredients in nail polish (I haven't used it for 20 years or so...)

I don't think there are animal ingredients, but as far as testing, that is different from company to company!

It depends on what company made it.  PETA has an awesome list of cruelty-free companies on their website.

They put the nail polish into rabbits eyes etc.Yes,it definitely is cruel.
