I would try to name him something that would not be an easy taget for being made fun of while in school. Kids can be cruel to other kids just to have something to make fun of.

Ahmed sounds middle eastern. I mean, an asian kid with the name Ahmed? What's his last name? Probably something like Chong, right? Ahmed Chong is weird. Sorry, no offense. Here's a star.
