  1. no, its actually the only sport that is gaining fans

  2. It is growing crazy..

  3. nope

  4. yhea for the first time i actually fell asleep last night i could watch the finish but i coulde just been tired because i love nascar

  5. I won't lie when I say fans of NASCAR are up.

If you walk the streets, you can see the popularity.  Depending on the track rules, they occasionally have empty seats for the driver's view, or for other reasons.

Have no fear, NASCAR is still the #1 Spectator Sport in the World.

  6. NASCAR is a growing sport, and will always be

  7. This is just my opinion but I don't think so I still watch NASCAR all the time and love it as much if not more than i always have!!

  8. Well it sells out at places like Bristol...but like at California it's hard to give a seat away...so I'm not sure. It could be because of gas prices, too.

  9. Those empty seats?? Those were people who probably HAD tickets?

  10. it gets alot of viewers on tv..i think alot of ppl dont go to races is because of gas prices...last year when i went to talledega the grandstands were practically empty, we pretty much had the whole row to ourselves

  11. NASCAR is slowing.

Lots of new fans, but many who were the "new breed" of fans are slowly dropping off.

The COT is producing boring racing - at least on TV.

And I'm a fan for over 20 years.

At the race - always exciting (except the endless cautions).  They'd better come up with something or they'll lose more.  See the TV ratings drop.

I think the truck races and the Nationwide series races are better now than the Cup races.

  12. I would have to say not at all.  The simple fact of the matter is there are several races that have empty seats and don't sell out.  We live in a world now where we can get our NASCAR fix in several different ways.  The ratings are up across the board for the races on television.  As far as the yellows go they don't throw yellow flags so they can play commercials they are required by the sponsors of the race to play a certain number of commercials every hour.  The fact that it seems like more than any other sport is we are all so used to the "stick and ball sports" that have timeouts that can last for several minutes.  As far as the rules go they have to have those rules in place for the safety and fairness of competition.  But they have been pretty forgiving as far as a lot of stuff goes letting the drivers show some personality.
