Is natural talent enough to make a great cricket team or not? (Part 2)
(Continuation of Part 1…Australian Team)
Sometimes one feels as if the national cricket team of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 has several plans and according to the situation the team tries to negate the problem. Not to forget, the element of hard work, extra hours are put in the practice sessions on individual shortcomings,
unlike other teams and players, who are simply functioning on sheer talent. The Aussies are one of the few sides which have all the essential ingredients of a successful cricketing nation.
India
India is one of the most diversified and naturally talented teams in the World of cricket. At present the Indians are ranked as the No. 1 Test team of the World and it is pretty much comparable to the Aussies cricketing credentials, with the exception that
the Indians are a bit more talented and lack a bit of professionalism.
The Indian team is filled with genuinely talented cricketers in the form of, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rahul-c83321 Dravid and many more. But since the nation lacks cricketing institutions and for that matter educational structures as well, they have failed
to give cricketing knowledge and information to their players.
However, naturally talented players such as Tendulkar and Sehwag have grown up to be world-class players thanks to their exposure at the international level, which makes them mentally stronger, but still the national team of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 has a history of losing
their nerve in crucial stages of the game.
Nevertheless, the Indian team does have a cricketing sense, and do work exceptionally hard on their shortcomings. One of the perfect examples of hard work is http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Virender-Sehwag-c95429, the Indian master blaster opening batsman earlier in his career, did have the habit
of giving away his wicket without a fight, but with time he has worked on his batting technique, which has resulted in a Test batting average of around 54.00.
To conclude the Indian team, one will surely advocate the fact that individual talent is present in the Indian cricket side and instead of formal mental grooming and cricketing knowledge, Indian players knowledge is more experience based.
Not to forget, that the advent of Indian Premier League (IPL) has raised the level of the Indian national cricket team, as it brings more exposure and experience in terms of different under-pressure playing conditions.
New Zealand
One might argue about the credentials of the New Zealand cricket team, as they have not made any major contribution in the tournaments they played in for the longest time, but somehow they always manage to reach the semi-finals or finals. The main reason
for this is the level of consistency they bring to their game, and the ability to raise the stakes whenever they are faced by a stronger opposition.
New Zealand is also known as the Black Caps or Kiwis. They have a competitive cricket team in all three formats of international cricket. They are considered to be one of the most predictable teams in terms of the level of consistency of their performance.
Black Caps have maintained the reputation of being a very mentally stable, well groomed, cricket sensible, professional and hard working national team.
The new generation of Kiwis, for example, young all-rounder Jesse Ryder, do have small portion of exceptionally talented cricketers but they rely mostly on long hours of hard work, which allows them to function as a professional entity on the field.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754’s cricket set up is similar to the Aussie structure, as they also provide World cricket with well planned attacking strategies, and their nerves, unlike some Asian cricket teams, don’t shatter.  (Continued...in Part3)
