Is news about toxins in tapwater released as a ploy to get us to use less due to upcoming heatwave/draught?

This is my analysis and I'm sticking to it! These chemicals have been in our waters for over 20 years and suddenly in one day all the media is hyping about it and the media only releases news items there's an agenda behind especially on the items that are to supposedly help the people with. Recalls are only announced if a company is in fear of additional lawsuits for example, not due to a good semaritan reporting.

What?  No.  That's ridiculous.  Do you realize how little water is used per household for drinking?  

Why would this news about pharmacueticals in the water stop you from taking long showers, watering your yard, washing your car, etc....

Edit: Are you a climatologist?  Care to expand on your drought prediction?

I'm not really sure. Maybe it's just supposed to show us that our water really isn't that pure/clean!!
