Question:

Is no sleep better than little sleep?

Alright well, I'm very hyped up about something I'm going to do in 3 hours, so I'm not sleepy at all. I think I have to get some sleep though, or else I won't have any energy. However if I sleep now, I will only get 3 hours of sleep. Is getting little sleep (3 hours) better than getting no sleep? I don't think sleeping 3 hours is enough to enter deep sleep, and because of this little time, I'll get woken up sooner than I have to, which will probably make me sleepier than if I didn't go to sleep. Is this true?

  1. no sleep

  2. Actually if you take a short nap it is better than a long nap.

A 15 minute nap will leave you more refreshed than an hour nap.

If you enter a deep sleep that is shorter than a full 6-8 hours then you will awaken groggy and irritable.

But get in any sleep, because your butt will drag after the adrenaline and caffeine wears off. And even if you douse yourself with caffeine, later in the day you will be exhausted and jittery

  3. I reckon some sleep is better than none.

As it makes me less heavy headed and a little more refreshed

  4. Well you can try to sleep I believe I would cause a lil sleep is better than no sleep.. at least you would be totally worn out ? best of luck

  5. Some people would get grumpy with only the 3 hours. For others it would be the best thing.  You seem to know your own body well, which is excellent, and what would be best for you would be 2 or 3 power naps.  A power nap is 20 minutes. Then get up and do something, then another power nap. If you can't fall asleep, then just forget it.

Bless you and good luck!  :)

  6. I believe  that little sleep is better than no sleep.Sometimes I sleep only 3 hours to go to work the next day and it makes me feel like if I slept 8 hours.

  7. 3 hours of sleep is better than no sleep.

  8. The same could be said backwards People who sleep for 7 hours wake up still tired but people who sleep for 5 hours don't?

But the question is who will fall asleep sooner.

  9. No, little sleep is better than no sleep.  I heard you want to get at least four hours of sleep a night to function correctly the next day.  I also read that 10- and 15-minute power naps are great for a quick boost in energy.  The only thing is that it's very hard to get up from little sleep which makes people think it's not right but when you give yourself time to wake up you're fine.  I've also learned if you don't think about sleep you don't get as sleepy as quick.
